Young Queenslanders Impress at 29’er World Championships, San Francisco
Queenslanders David O’Connor, Jalen Andreatta and Kenny Bradshaw proudly represented Australia at the recent 29er World Championships in San Francisco, USA.  Jalen and Kenny from Half Moon Bay Yacht Club, placed 6th in the Silver Division.  David from Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, placed an incredible second overall.  The event was held over eight days in July and involved a wide selection of international crews.
UPDATE: Yachting Queensland High Performance Program
The Yachting Queensland Youth Development Program is currently achieving excellent results.  During the June/ July period over 100 youth sailors participated in Yachting Queensland coaching camps as part of the program.  Large steps forward are currently being made towards the ultimate goal of establishing a high performance program in Queensland.

Impress With Your Knowledge of the Barrier Reef

Gold Coast to Mackay Bluewater Yacht Race
The starters gun will fire at 11am on Friday 5th August for the start of the Gold Coast to Mackay Bluewater Yacht Race.  Starting at Southport Yacht Club, the fleet will enjoy 3-4 days of racing before they arrive in Mackay.  This event follows on after the Sydney to Gold Coast event and preludes the Hamilton Island Race Week.  For race information see www.mackayyachtclub.com.au.  For race enquiries email sailingoffice@cyca.com.au.
North Queensland Clubs Achieve Widespread Funding
North Queensland Yacht and Sailing clubs recently received widespread funding through grants from the Queensland State Government.  The Far North Queensland Sailing Group provided key support through their 2005 Club Development Program to enable this funding allocation to be achieved.

Sail Training Association of Queensland: Courses Begin
