Instructor Course 
A Two day course for anyone with the desire to instruct in Yachting Australia Courses including Powerboat, Yacht Cruising, Motor Cruising and Get Into Small Boat Sailing.
Date: Sat 9th and Sun 10th July 2005 - Manly
Time: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Club Race Management Course
Date: Sat 2nd and 3rd July 2005 - Manly
Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm

Safety Boat Course
Date: Sat 16th July 2005 - Manly
Time: 9am – 5pm

Etchells Sail Southport and Mooloolaba

Southport – Etchells Queensland State Championships
The State Title was won for the second year in a row by defending Queensland Champion Michael O’Brian accompanied by Brian Hillier and Scott Miller.  In the typically calm conditions of late May, a solid field of 16 yachts took to the water to complete the Etchells State Championship.

Mooloolaba – Etchells Australian Winter Championships 2005
Rob Brown and crew members Bruce Wookey and Garry Cudmunson secured the Australian Winter Championship last weekend in Mooloolaba.  In large swell and light breeze they narrowly defeated America’s Cup Skipper Iain Murray and crew members Andrew Palfrey and M. Coxon.

A record number of youth sailors have enrolled for the YQ Southern Region Mooloolaba Youth Training Camp on the 25 & 26th June.  Come and have fun sailing these school holidays - enrol now!

QLD Sabot Championships - Keppel Bay

The Queensland State Sabot Championships were held at Keppel Bay Sailing Club, Yeppoon over the recent Queens Birthday long weekend. Sabot’s were brought from over 900kms away with sailors travelling from as far as Ballina in the south and Mission Beach in the north.
The winner of the Senior 1 Up was 'The Edge' sailed by Edward Leeson from the Keppel Bay Sailing Club.  The Junior 2 Up division was won by 'Dinki Di' sailed by Dane Mouldey and Angus MacGregor from Tinaroo Sailing Club.
